Harrison Nguyen, MD, MBA, MPH, DTM&H, FAAD
Dr. Nguyen is an award-winning, Ivy-league educated and trained dermatologist and surgeon who is recognized worldwide as a key opinion leader and innovator in dermatology, skin rejuvenation, and both minimally invasive and non-surgical dermatologic procedures. His training background is uniquely cross-pollinated with integrated fellowship training in Mohs micrographic surgery, facial plastic surgery, oculoplastic surgery, dermatologic surgery, and general plastic surgery. His philosophy is to provide each patient with a specialized treatment plan based on his or her individual needs, stressing a natural, refreshed, and rejuvenated appearance. Dr. Nguyen’s goal is to provide beautiful, natural-looking results with the least downtime possible.
Dr. Nguyen completed an Advanced Fellowship in Mohs/Laser/Cosmetic Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania, where he was an Associate Fellow at the Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics. He previously was Chief Resident in Dermatology at the Emory University School of Medicine and a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
Dr. Nguyen graduated with honors from Rice University, where he was an All-Conference Linebacker for the Rice Owls Football Team. He continued on to earn his MD from Baylor College of Medicine, MBA from the Yale School of Management, MPH from the Yale School of Public Health, and DTM&H from the National School of Tropical Medicine. He is a member of the Board of Directors for the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery/Association, leads the American Academy of Dermatology's Health Policy Research Group, and has been a Visiting Professor at the Oregon Health & Science University. He serves on the Editorial Boards of the Journal of Clinical and Aesthetic Dermatology and Journal of Cutaneous Medicine and has authored over 50 PubMed-indexed scientific articles. In addition to his role as Managing Director at Houston Skin, Dr. Nguyen serves as a Clinical Investigator at Center for Clinical Studies .
Outside of his work, Dr. Nguyen enjoys fitness, boxing, salsa/bachata dancing, and following all sports, especially football.
