NPF Walk for a Cure in Houston 2019
National Psoriasis Foundation is thrilled to announce that registration is OPEN for the 2019 Team NPF Houston Walk! This year’s event is scheduled for Saturday, October 19, 2019 at the beautiful Memorial Park – Picnic Loop. The fun will begin at 8am with registration and kickoff celebrations (more to be announced), and the walk will commence at 9am.

October is Eczma Awareness Month!
October is Eczema Awareness Month. This year the National Eczema Association, in addition to our #unhideECZEMA campaign, is focusing on #therealeczema. The goal of this campaign is to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and illuminate eczema’s true impacts. Visit their website to learn more and how you can help spread awareness.
Center for Clinical Studies is currently conducting clinical trials for individuals over 12 who have atopic dermatitis, also known as eczema. To learn more about these trials, call us at 281-343-3300.

The Friends of League City Seniors Foundation are partnering with League City another year for the annual League City Community Health Fair. The purpose of the Health Fair is to enhance the lives of senior citizens in our community. The community health fair and wellness walk/run events have strengthened the League City community while promoting healthy lifestyles for all ages!

This year’s fair will be held on Wednesday, March 27th from 1:00pm – 4pm. At 311 Pennsylvania Ave. in the City of Webster Civic Center. The Health and Wellness Fair is open to all City of Webster employees/dependents, as well as citizens.

It's Psoriasis Month!
October is Psoriasis Awareness Month! CCS joined the National Psoriasis Foundation at their annual NPF Walk for a Cure event at Discovery Green on October 2nd, 2016. This a family friendly 5K walk and community event dedicated to finding a cure for psoriatic disease.

At the 74th annual American Academy of Dermatology meeting held in Washington D.C., Dr. Stephen K. Tyring was honored with the Presidential Citation award. “In recognition of your significant contributions and dedication to promoting excellent care for patients with infectious diseases”. Center for Clinical Studies was represented at the 2015 National Volunteer Conference held July 24-26 in San Francisco. The conference was held in conjunction with the National Psoriasis Foundation Research Symposium for the first time.
Over 200 volunteers had the chance to connect with other volunteers, share stories and hear new ideas.

Dr. Stephen K. Tyring was bestowed the prestigious Robert G. Freeman, M.D., Mentoring and Leadership Award this past weekend at the 2014 TexasDermatological Society Meeting (http://texasdermatology.org/). The recipient of this award, honoring a physician leader in Texas for outstanding service to his patients and the specialty of dermatology, is chosen by a committee of peers. Of all the honorees, Dr. Tyring was the only person to receive a standing ovation, further recognition of his dedication to his field of dermatology, having mentored 39 dermatology fellows, countless medical and college students.
